Some days, there just aren’t words for what we’re going through.
Lately I’ve found myself trying to describe and define things I’m working through internally, and honestly, I can’t. It’s in moments like these that I come back to Philippians 4:7, the promise that God gives a peace that surpasses understanding.
That means it’s okay to be at peace with something even when you don’t fully understand it. For someone like me who always needs to solve the puzzle and have everything figured out, that’s incredibly hard. Letting go and saying, God, I’ll trade understanding for your peace, takes real surrender.
So if there’s one thing I want to leave you with today, it’s this. You don’t have to understand everything. You don’t have to figure it all out today. Just take today, right now, as it is. If you don’t get it today, that’s okay.
Accept the peace that passes all understanding.
